The Line’s debut graphic novel – written and created by artist Jess Teare, “Tales from the Ethernet Cable” is inspired by Flcl Manga and Freddie Castro that explores modern themes and fears around technology. In this one of a kind humorous and surreal graphic novel, we follow our main characters: Ren, a 24 yr old Kleptomaniac with a Post Grad in Ancient Robotics and Arius, a discontinued 157 yr old robot introduced by TFL to help tourists navigate the underground, report crimes and assist with general transport queries. Ren stole Arius 2 years ago when drunk on the northern line, since then she’s been trying to reboot it to keep it from being dismantled by the ERCC (Ethical Robotics Creation Council) – the robot social services.
