Description

A personal reflection, in watercolours and words, of the area of Lewis that local folk call The West Side. Each of the 34 full-page colour illustrations has its own story by the artist, Alisdair Wiseman. On the West Side is a labour of love, and the fulfilment of Alisdair’s long-held ambition to design and publish a book. The watercolours stand on their own. The stories feature illuminated capitals and an intricate text border which give the book a more traditional feel, in keeping with the illustrations.
