I Call My Mum For Poem Time is a collection of verse and their story, divided into sections of time, starting with 2011 through to 2024. The first section tells the story of the time Teigh-anne set herself a quest to write a poem a day and read them to her Mum, to share some laughter. She reflects on that time and how writing and sharing with her Mum; laughing with her daily, helped her through a challenging time, and brought them closer, by seeking out humour (or simply expressing herself). The poems are presented in the order they were written (some inspired by prompts), witnessing the tools she’d started implementing that changed her life. Other sections include some written during Lockdown and move into a section of new poems written this year; as a different person to those written in 2011.

Turning 50 this year, in 2024, Teigh-anne shares how she set herself some ‘before I’m 50’ quests of comfort zone expansion to help her: return to the microphone after 10 years with spoken word, new poems, old poems, share stories, write songs and perform them, as well as publish a book (Ta Daaa!!), and more, to celebrate still being on the planet, and because SHE CAN.
