Birds gather to mourn the phoenix and turtledove in William Shakespeare’s poem. Their shared love raises questions about union, separate identity, beauty and truth. The lament moves from a solemn gathering to ashes and a final prayer. This edition presents the complete English poem together with its Marathi translation.
