This Place Speaks: Peel Tower 2026 is a collection of poetry and stories created by primary school children through a series of place-based creative writing workshops inspired by Peel Tower and Holcombe Hill.
Through listening, observation, imagination, and shared experience, children were invited to explore their relationship with the landscape around them and respond through writing.
The resulting collection brings together reflections, stories, poems, and imaginative responses shaped by weather, history, memory, movement, and place.
Created as part of the This Place Speaks project, the book celebrates children’s voices, creativity, and connection to the natural world while documenting a shared experience rooted in landscape and community.
