The Florilegium of the Heart is a new rosary devotion to Mary’s pondering heart. It originates in the call of Vatican II to develop Catholic devotions that both come from the Sacred Liturgy and lead back to it. Three Florilegia gather from the Church’s Liturgy of the Hours its most moving scriptural verses and arrange them for meditation on the beads of the rosary, in a weekly cycle of seven Mysteries of the Lord, and an annual cycle of liturgical seasons Joyful, Sorrowful, and Glorious. This compact paperback edition also includes a Holy Hour of the Hearts for adoration, with meditations for Feastdays as well as each day of the Florilegium. Directions are included for praying the Florilegium in common with a lector leading a group. A deluxe hardcover edition with premium color illustrations of the mysteries is available as well.
