Description
John Knox (c. 1514-1572), leader of the Protestant Reformation in Scotland, tells in his own words the religious and political struggle that transformed sixteenth-century Scotland, from the persecutions under the Regent to the reign of Mary Queen of Scots. This ‘Twentieth Century Edition’ (London, Andrew Melrose, 1905), revised and edited by Cuthbert Lennox, also includes Knox’s Confession and The Book of Discipline, with a frontispiece portrait of Knox after Theodore Beza (1580).This is a faithful print-on-demand facsimile of the 1905 edition, reproduced in full from a library copy (University of Toronto). The historical text is reproduced without modification; only the format, margins and legibility have been reset for modern printing.
