Description
Smiley has planned the perfect picnic: a red blanket, cold lemonade, sticky jam buns and three bright balloons. He is going to climb the hill, sing a little song, and watch the sunset all by himself. But one by one, his friends need his help — and Smiley, being Smiley, says yes.
Soon there is no blanket, no buns, no balloons… and no picnic at all. For the first time, Smiley does not feel very smiley. But when his friends return with kindness of their own, Smiley discovers that lovely things can be shared — and sometimes, the kindest thing is keeping a little bit of lovely just for yourself.
