Sloth Bother

Description

What could possibly bother a sloth living on a tiny tropical island?

Far away, on a small island off the coast of Panama, lives one of the world’s rarest mammals:- the pygmy three-toed sloth. Found nowhere else on Earth, these remarkable little creatures make their home among the mangrove trees, where life moves at a wonderfully leisurely pace.

But even a sloth’s peaceful existence can become a little more exciting when love enters the picture!

Sloth Bother takes young readers on a heartwarming journey into the extraordinary world of the pygmy sloth, exploring its unusual island habitat and the special challenges of life in such a fragile environment.

Written in gentle, engaging rhyme and brought to life through digital watercolour illustrations, this delightful picture book combines natural history, gentle humour and a touching story about their lives.

Part of the Lifecycle Love Stories collection, Sloth Bother introduces children to an endangered species found in just one tiny corner of our planet, encouraging curiosity, empathy and a greater appreciation of the importance of wildlife conservation.

Perfect for sharing at home, in classrooms or at bedtime, Sloth Bother reminds young readers that even the smallest island can be home to something extraordinary, and is deserving of our consideration and awareness that every small kindness helps nature to grow.
