Description
Welcome to Australia. Please avoid the snakes, spiders, and international assassins.
Soviet Sleepers are alive, retired, and hiding across Australia, which feels rude. Samantha and Lizzie Sawyer were sent to find them. Simple enough, until the first one turns up dead and the mission takes a sharp left from counterintelligence into “please stop murdering our suspects.”
Lizzie is living her absolute best spy life undercover at one of Sydney’s ultra-luxurious hotels. The only wrinkle in her five-star stakeout is an Aussie intelligence agent who keeps crashing her perimeter with a dangerously charming accent. Things get considerably less charming when somebody opens fire.
Samantha is dealing with her own problems. Her undercover assignment in the Outback comes with a cowboy hat and a fake husband. Fake marriages sound a lot simpler in the briefing packet. She did not sign on for a honeymoon with a side of homicide.
Half a continent apart, the sisters stumble onto the same deadly pattern.
Now they aren’t just tracking former enemy spies. They’re trying to keep one alive long enough to find out why someone is cleaning up Cold War secrets before the CIA can get there.
Can Samantha and Lizzie turn a Soviet sleeper into an asset before the assassin turns him into evidence? Or will their Australian mission prove some secrets should’ve stayed buried?
