Welcome to Pizza Wednesday — a collection of 78 weird and wonderful pizzas, including 68 inspired by the gloriously questionable topping combinations of a certain classic 80s/90s cartoon, plus 10 original Kirk Kooks creations.
From marshmallows and anchovies to bananas, peanut butter, liverwurst, chocolate fudge and combinations no sane pizza chef would ever contemplate, Kirk set out to recreate them, cook them and — most importantly — actually eat the bloody things.
Every pizza includes a full recipe, its origin and Kirk’s verdict on taste, weirdness, appearance and whether he’d ever make it again.
Some were brilliant. Some were terrible. Some should probably never be spoken of again.
