Northern Saints

Description

Rita Readman’s stunning paintings based on the lives of the great northern saints who lived in the kingdom of Northumbria in the seventh and eighth centuries.

There they converted people to Christianity, established and ran places of prayer and learning and created artistic and scholarly work.

Thoughtful reflections written by members of the Community of Prayer at Durham Cathedral complement the paintings.
