When Jack Edwards arrives in Blackpool for a weekend of signings, panels, costumes and fan chaos, he expects awkward conversations, overexcited collectors and perhaps the occasional badly fitted alien mask. What he does not expect is a dead body.

As the convention descends into confusion, Jack finds himself drawn into a mystery involving rival fans, missing props, old grudges and secrets hidden behind the glitter of the convention floor.
