Description
Faster Than the Speed of Love – Brian Griffin’s notoriously bad novel, recreated as a real book.
Inspired by the fictional novel featured in Family Guy, this fan-made replica turns Brian Griffin’s long-suffering literary masterpiece into an actual full-length paperback.
The novel has been created around the details revealed in the series, including Roger’s increasingly ridiculous aviation adventure, his captured Air Force pilot father, Colonel Skippy, fighter jets, veteran World War II pilots and a plot that bears a completely coincidental resemblance to a certain series of 1980s aviation films.
It also includes the details fans will recognise from the show: the famously overlong description of a lake, the unrewarding map, Brian-style philosophical observations, liberal use of “And then…”, and some spectacularly questionable prose.
The cover has been recreated in the style of the book seen on screen, complete with the jet bursting through the heart and Brian Griffin author artwork on the reverse.
This is intended as a display piece, novelty book and fan-made replica prop, but unlike the fictional original, this one really can be read from beginning to end.
