Description
As I held my pen in the tightest grip. It became my sword once again when writing about my symbolic walk on ‘Forgiveness Road’. I chose to open my heart and my ears to actively hear the cries of others, and in doing so. I heard my own cries echoing back at me so was forced to listen, and release them from the cell I locked them into. I thought that once I told my story I would feel free. I did to some extent, but I was still very bitter. We can convince ourselves that it is better to lock hurt away, but in doing so, our hurts stay. Forgiveness was the key to my internal cell and I’m no longer crying out from within it.
