Description
THE WORLD ENDED QUICKLY. SURVIVING IT TOOK MUCH LONGER.
It began with the silence.
The roads emptied. The familiar disappeared. And across Britain, the world everyone had taken for granted began to unravel.
For Jim, the collapse of civilisation leaves only one certainty: whatever happens next, he must keep his family alive.
But safety is no longer somewhere you can simply drive to.
As the infected spread and the country descends into chaos, Jim and those closest to him are forced into a world where every journey carries a risk, every stranger presents a choice, and even the smallest mistake can have devastating consequences.
Yet beyond the abandoned streets and the ruins of ordinary life, something unexpected begins to take shape.
A refuge.
A community.
A place where children might laugh again, where familiar routines might return, and where tomorrow might offer something other than fear.
For a while, it almost feels like home.
But the world outside hasn’t stopped changing.
The infected are evolving. The fragile peace they’ve fought to create is beginning to fracture. And protecting everything they’ve built will demand choices that threaten the very humanity they’re struggling to preserve.
Set against the hauntingly familiar landscapes of Lancashire and the North West of England, Carried on the Wind is a character-driven post-apocalyptic survival thriller about family, loyalty, sacrifice and the extraordinary lengths ordinary people will go to protect what matters most.
Because the end of the world isn’t the end of the story.
It’s where this one begins.
