Description
He swore he’d never return to Belfast.
Now it might be the only place he can find the truth.
DI Owen Sheen has spent years running from his past. From Belfast. From the unanswered questions surrounding his brother’s death.
But when an opportunity arises to transfer from the Met to Northern Ireland, Sheen takes it—determined to uncover what really happened.
Instead, he’s thrown into a murder investigation with rookie DC Aoife McCusker on her first case.
A body. No clear motive. And a city that doesn’t forget.
As the investigation spirals, a dangerous name resurfaces—John Fryer, an escaped IRA veteran with a violent past… and possible ties to Sheen’s family tragedy.
Now Sheen is chasing two truths: one official, one deeply personal.
But in a city built on secrets, digging up the past comes at a cost.
And the closer Sheen gets to the truth, the more he risks losing everything—including the case… and his own life.
