Ustadh Abu Baraa

Ustadh Abu Baraa’ graduated with a Bachelor of Arts
and Master of Arts degree in Islamic Studies and a
Master of Arts in International Relations in the UK. A
lifelong activist and experienced teacher, Ustadh Abu
Baraa has taught both professionally and as a service
to the community for over twenty-five years.
A lifelong activist, Ustadh Abu Baraa has been
outspoken about western hegemony in the modern world,
and campaigned against multiple wars, genocides and
terrorism around the world in the 21st century. As a
result, he has also suffered persistent police
harassment and brutality, including suffering human
rights abuses in UK prisons for his activism. This
includes the controversial Muslim-only separation
centres opened in 2017.
