Description
One hundred murders. Finding the words is the easy part.
Somebody has been murdered at the village fete. Half the parish was there, and not one of them saw a thing, though every one of them has an opinion about it. It’s the same story at the flower show, the harbour, the tea rooms and the sleeper train: small places where everybody knows everybody, and a murder nobody will admit to having seen.
Inside
- 100 cozy murder cases, one page each, every one self-contained
- 100 different killers and more than 1,000 suspects, with no name used twice
- 4 grids and 25 hidden words in every case, running across, down and diagonally, with nothing written backwards
- A worked example at the front
- Every case solved in full at the back
- Print sized to be read, with a full page to every case
- Difficulty: 1 out of 4
How it works
Each case begins with a short briefing on who has died, and gives you a word search grid for each place it might have happened. Everyone and everything that was there is hidden in them somewhere. Find the words, note where they turn up, and the gossip arranges itself into an answer: the killer, the weapon, the motive and the scene, with space on the page to make your deductions.
The village is talking. Somebody ought to be writing it down.
