Description

This work of fiction is a story of adventure and love at the time of World War 2, ranging from the serenity of Nassau to the hostilities in North Africa and France, sabotage in Yugoslavia, the chaos in Northern Italy at the end of the war and the intrigue and excitement of post-war Vienna.

The fictional characters in the book take part in real events and interact with real people such as Winston Churchill, Marshall Tito and Robert Maxwell.

The story is told in the first person by the principle characters, British, German, American and Yugoslav, and shows how war can change people for the better – and the worse.
