Description

You can’t save the world. But you will fix it afterwards.

As if being twelve wasn’t hard enough! When a talking cat moves in with Alice Reed, she’s drawn into a world of manipulative witches, powerful aristocrats, and time‑travelling buffoons.

And these are the good guys!

Just to teach her the lessons that she will need to do great things.

What great things? Nobody will tell her!

Between magical creatures, evil queens, homework, and a constant supply of tea and biscuits, Alice must learn a difficult lesson: some games are already in motion before you’ve even got the board out of the box.

A Peculiar Patron is a whimsical fantasy adventure filled with steampunk charm, talking animals, and time‑travel intrigue. Think of it as Terry Pratchett and Robert Rankin meets Phillip Pullman, this story blends humour, chaos, and mystery as Alice learns that growing up is complicated, destiny is messy, and the world is more wonderful—and far more dangerous—than anyone warned her.
