Turning seventeen, ready to be freed!

Summer’s here, the parents are gone,

time to explore the world and beyond.

South Florida, here I come.

To soak up the sun and have some fun.

Summer’s here, the vibes are lit,

But my life’s about to take a hit.

Overnight, things spin out of control,

I’m trapped in a confusing role.

Responsibility, romance, temptation

A house fire, secrets, and a night of incarceration

Bloody and bruised, I’m in jail.

Can I escape before my life fails?

Life has other plans for me,

A summer of twists and turns, not so carefree.

My twin sister Sara and friends’ step in,

To help me through thick and thin.

Will they be enough to save the day?

Or will my summer go astray?

Of a summer that went off the rails.

But through it all, I learned to grow.

And find my way back to Jesus,
