In January 1967 they joined the one million, mainly Igbo, families who felt compelled to flee from attack in the rest of Nigeria to their place of origin the then Eastern region. This area became Biafra and it is what happened during the next 30months that changed their lives completely. After the the end of  the confict in1970 they started afresh to live in the re-united Nigeria.
