Description
When old cowboy Goober Glendon and his young partner Johnny Wells ride into Silver Bar, they only plan to find work at the Keno range. But a late-night poker game turns deadly when a drunken young man is accused of shooting a fellow ranch hand. Goober’s instincts tell him the boy was framed, and he secretly pockets the murder weapon to protect the son of his old friend, wealthy rancher Frank Austin.
As Goober and Johnny arrive at the Star A ranch, they find the Austin family reeling from a stagecoach holdup and the disappearance of valuable horses. Young Hal Austin is tangled in a forbidden romance with Juana Diaz, while the dark-clad foreman Cal Sands harbors secrets.
With rustlers, a missing stage, and a suspicious sheriff, the partners must unravel a web of deceit before more blood is spilled.
