Robert Louis Stevenson (1850 – 1894) was a Scottish novelist, poet and essayist, best known for his works Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde and Treasure Island. The Master of Ballantrae: A Winter's Tale focuses on a conflict between two brothers who are torn apart by the 1745 Jacobite rising.
