Description
Some children arrive everywhere slightly before they mean to. Words come out too quickly, feet go before the plan does, and the day turns into a chase.
The Hurry is a story about that feeling from the inside. It follows what happens when a body speeds up and cannot find the brake, and it does not treat this as naughtiness or something to be trained out. It treats it as a signal, which is what it is.
Gently, without instruction or moralising, the story shows a way of noticing the hurry and letting it settle — so a child has something to recognise the next time it happens.
