In her day job, Ursula Huws is a researcher, lecturer, writer and editor, based in London, who blogs at ursulahuws.wordpress.com. In November 2024, after the victory of Donald Trump in the US presidential election, she began to find the daily news too depressing to digest in more than small doses. Feeling the need for a positive focus, a touch of frivolity and a kind of flexing of the intellectual muscles to help prepare for the serious work of the day, she began writing a clerihew every morning and posting it on social media. It got her through the winter! This book presents the results. It is published in the hope of inspiring or amusing others.
