Description

For the first time, a detailed Roll of Honour has been compiled of the Old Boys of the Duke of York’s Royal Military School who gave their lives in the Great War, 1914-1918, including the names of the ‘Dukies’ (as former pupils are still known to this day) missed from the war memorial at the school site in Guston, Kent.  This colour paperback book of 652 pages, includes cameos of the 228 Old Boys named on the memorial, in addition to the 181 ‘Lost Boys’ found to have been missed from the original memorial and who in due course will be commemorated where they always should have been.  Compiled by Old Boys of the Duke of York’s Royal Military School, this book includes photos of 65 of the fallen Dukies and a number of images of the former school site in Chelsea, where it was known as the Royal Military Asylum until 1892.
