Description
Ceri, almost sixteen, sometimes prefers to live in her own sound-world rather than wear the hearing-aids she is supposed to. On holiday in Scotland with her mother and her step-brother Sam, she comes into contact with family that she has never met, and makes new friends and strange ones.
There are so many choices to make. Ceri is filled with longings, torn by unanswered questions and warring loyalties.
And then she meets Euan. Euan who swims with the seals and wakes echoes of the undersea world of her imagination. Euan who understands her. Euan, who belongs to Ruth.
What is the song he sings to the seals? And why do they listen? What is real, and what is imagined? Somehow Ceri must find out – and choose which path she should take …
