Description
Do you skip the Minor Prophets?
They seem too short, too ancient, and too removed from daily life to matter. But Jonah runs from God across the sea and becomes history’s most reluctant and successful evangelist. Hosea marries a prostitute on divine command and discovers what it looks like when love refuses to give up. Amos, a shepherd with no formal credentials, speaks hard truth to comfortable people and refuses to be silenced.
These twelve voices are not minor. They are urgent, honest, and startlingly relevant to every struggle of faith happening right now.
In Minor Prophets Bible Study, author Peter DeHaan guides readers through all twelve prophets in chronological order, one accessible daily reading at a time across 40 days.
Each entry opens the historical and spiritual context, engages the text with honesty and clarity, and closes with pointed questions designed to move Scripture from the page into personal conviction. Dig Deeper sections explore broader biblical themes, from idol worship and spiritual complacency to prophecy fulfilled in the life of Jesus, building a reading experience that rewards both newcomers and longtime students of Scripture.
This is not passive reading. It is an invitation to be challenged, convicted, and changed.
Whether you’re a lifelong Bible reader, a curious seeker, or someone who walked away from church but not from God, this study meets you where you are. God told Habakkuk to wait with confidence. He told Micah to act justly, love mercy, and walk humbly. He told Zechariah that he himself would become a wall of fire around his people.
These words were not written only for ancient Israel. They are written for you. Open this book and discover what God has been saying through twelve of Scripture’s most overlooked and underestimated messengers.
