Late Shift

Description

Traffic cop Nick Kerridge stops one driver too many, and it costs him his life when he is shot dead on a lonely country road in South West England.

The story doesn’t end there, though. Waking up in the Afterlife, Nick finds himself in good company as part of a unit tasked with collecting those people who don’t realise, or won’t accept, that their time on Earth is over.

Having been until very recently a cop, Nick knows who murdered him but telling his former colleagues isn’t really an option. He is, not unnaturally, very keen to find out how the investigation into his own murder is going. Not very well, is the answer. So he resolves to do all he can to bring his killer to justice himself.

Using the author’s direct personal experience of policing and criminals, and with an abundance of dark police humour, Late Shift takes life as a cop one step beyond…
