Description
The Cheese Table explores the shapes and textures of cheese through sixty full-colour still-life images. Whole wheels, wedges, cubes, torn pieces and browned slices appear in spare arrangements and fuller table settings. Overhead views and close studies bring rinds, cut faces and broken edges into focus.
Each image fills the page, moving from pale soft folds to golden cut faces and darker patterned rinds. Wood, stone, cloth and simple vessels give the sequence a warm, varied setting. The emphasis is on visible form, texture and arrangement, with the pictures carrying the book.
