Description
A collection of stories and discoveries from the Pullein-Thompson sisters.
Josephine Pullein-Thompson’s Black Raven is set in the West Country, where the mare helps young lovers to elope, and then helps to rescue an old woman who has been condemned as a witch.
Diana Pullein-Thompson wrote Black Piper, the story of an Irish horse who travels to England and experiences good owners and bad.
Christine Pullein-Thompson’s The Chill Valley Point-to-Point is the fourth part of her Chill Valley Hunt series. It was published as a serial in a magazine, and has never been widely available.
Also included is another Christine Pullein-Thompson short story called The Challenge, which is quite possibly the germ of the story on which The Impossible Horse was built.
