Description
This book and its companion workbook are two halves of one method. The book carries the stories, the leadership lessons and the thinking. The workbook carries the questions, the tables, the calculators and the private space where your own answers take shape. You can read the book first, begin with the workbook, or move between them chapter by chapter. Each chapter of the book closes with a section called The Practice, which points you to the matching exercise in the workbook. The workbook is deliberately unglamorous. It asks for a pen, a quiet half hour and a willingness to write things you have not yet said aloud.
At the end of each chapter you will also find two short sections that support the practice. What the Evidence Says summarises the research that underpins the chapter, because I want you to know this method is not merely my opinion; it stands on decades of serious work in psychology, organisational behaviour and career studies. Questions to Sit With offers a handful of reflections you can carry into a journal, a walk, a one-to-one or a team conversation.
