Description
2025 being the 1,700th anniversary of the Nicene Creed, this book is written for ‘ordinary’ Christians who make up the majority of our congregations.
It is also written for those exploring the Christian faith. This could be spiritual pilgrims on a journey; those who have been on the way for some time but wishing to go over the foundations again; or anyone generally looking for a systematic and overall structure of Christian belief.
It’s a summary of key beliefs that have shaped the Church’s understanding of Jesus, and have sustained Christians for over 2,000 years. They take us back to our roots, and an ancient wisdom without which we become spiritual victims of whatever society around us claims to be ‘true’ or whatever fads and phases in the Church seek our allegiance.
Not claiming to be original, it seeks to set out the main doctrines of the Creed in an accessible and relevant way for the modern reader.
