Colin Melville

Colin Melville is a Scottish piper, teacher and author with 40 years’ experience playing the Highland bagpipes. Born and raised in Fort William, he studied with some of Scotland’s leading pipers before spending 13 years touring internationally with The Tannahill Weavers. He has taught in both Scotland and Australia and has worked extensively as a school piping instructor. Drawing on a lifetime of practical experience, Colin creates clear, approachable resources that help pipers develop sound technique, musical understanding and confidence.
