Mister Lewis has a business card that reads “Physics Consultant,” but that’s something of an in-joke. What he really consults on are things that defy the laws of physics, go bump in the night and dine on the souls of the living.

Taking a political client on a referral, Mister Lewis discovers that not every Asgardian is as deceased as the legends would have you believe. A discovery that leaves him with a dead client and an unpaid bill.

The trail to collect that debts winds through a scheme to trade blood sacrifices for student loan payments, industrial espionage from beyond the grave, employee age limits, rent control worth killing for and politicians who do not exist as the last Asgardian tries to re-establish his religion.

It’s a sarcasm-drenched escapade to settle up accounts across an absurdist landscape of ghosts, warlocks, gods and Human Resources.
