Five hundred years after a technological plague known as the Fade, InSea is ruled by five competing families. Those survivors permanently altered by the Teck have been forced to join the Protecktorate, a semi-religious organisation striving to save and spread lost knowledge, while worshiping “The Word”.

Aerwyna, a young girl stained by the sin of mixed heritage, looks for her place in this world, but a fatal accident pits her against society, the Protecktorate, and a shadowy organisation known as Xigent. While deep in the Bowl, tech is rising and time is running out. Can Aerwyna save both herself and humanity?
