This little doctrinal work was produced to provide a basic introduction to doctrine for new Christians. The thirty-three short but satisfying chapters broadly follow the structure of the Westminster Confession of Faith. Sound doctrine expressed in such a readable form is rare.
William Swan Plumer (1802-1880) was an American Presbyterian minister. His commentaries on Psalms, Romans and Hebrews are still widely appreciated.
