Overview
A special extra addition after the 7 book series by Ms Taylor- the Like A Duck Series. Book 8 is written by Mr Taylor and poems by Ms Taylor again with a link to healing, resiliance and tricky times.
Ms Taylor is the author of 5 adult books on mental health, trauma and grief. She also write songs lyrics on similar topics and 7 other children’s books. Her husband contributed to her adult series Vol 2 and now contributes to her children’s books by writing this story. He reflects on their experiences and supports the themes and aims of Ms Taylor. To always believe in yourself and know you can do all you want but times may be tricky and this is ok and normal.
It is rare and brave to address things such as trauma, and losing ones voice, feeling hurt. But using metephors and stories Taylor aims to give adults and youths words and ideas and a way to form understanding or conversations.
The first half is a story and the second half poems. Some for adults and teachers.
It is a heartfelt and courageous read. it isnt perfect and self published like the rest of the books. Life is never a 5 out of 5. The books themselves have slight errors that do not take away from the read or message to show perfection is not possible, you are you and we all need help or have things we do not like or find hard.
