Description
What could a nine-year-old Bohemian child, ridiculed by his peers, have in common with a glorious knight and magus of the Hermetic Order? That is the question that Albrecht must face, day after day, as he learns the ways of the Order.
Alongside his fellow apprentices, Albrecht studies magic and swordsmanship, learning the ins-and-outs of Hermetic life from his master, Joffrey. Each experience tests him and shapes him inside its crucible, forging him into something different from what he started as—and from his master. To succeed, he must overcome both childhood mistakes and life-threatening dangers, any of which could send him away from his master’s doorstep—or to the afterlife.
Enter the world of Mythic Europe for the first time as Albrecht takes his steps into possibilities he never imagined. A carpenter’s son in the thirteenth century knows his destiny.
A Magus Flambeau makes his own.
