Description
His doubts about the church and in his own faith grow. The story explores the dangerous power of charismatic leaders, as seen in the modern phenomenon of charismatic Christianity, but also how many believers allow their personality and sexuality to be crushed voluntarily. This book is not a polemic against religion, but a personal story. It does contain a warning against the inherent risks of a milieu where fanaticism is the norm; where obedience is angelic and a critical attitude demonic. The story is partially based on the author’s own experiences within a super-church. His journey of self-discovery took off when he discovered that even the senior minister had a closet with more than just skeletons in it.
