Leigh Cripps is a self-taught artist who grew up in Tring, a small market town in Hertfordshire, which is nestled at the foot of the Chiltern Hills and surrounded by farmland and open countryside. He now lives with his wife and daughter in Langford Budville, a small village tucked away deep in the Somerset countryside.Inspired by the wildlife and landscape that has always surrounded his home, Leigh began painting at the age of eighteen. His observations and understanding of nature have created a profound belief that we are all deeply connected to the land and the changing seasons.Through simple poetry and beautifully illustrated oil paintings, Leigh invites the reader to take a seasonal journey through the British countryside.
