As a child, Lydia Barlow fell through a glass door while trying to get the last slice of her mum’s fruit cake. At that time, she didn’t realise that the long scar she was left with would be the first of many scars on her body. Through a life-time of pain, heartache and a focus on her journey with cancer, Lydia learned to trust in a loving God, as she has found that He is deeply interested and involved in every aspect of her life.

With honesty and warmth, Lydia shares the lessons the Lord has taught her in hospital rooms, fellowship gatherings, quiet prayers, unexpected visions, dreams and the everyday mercies that carried her when her own strength failed. Her story is not one of personal triumph, but of a faithful Saviour who never let go.
