Sarah was lucky enough to study medieval history part-time at Nottingham University as a mature student. This gave her the skills for detailed (some might say obsessive) research and lots of ideas for plots. Castles have always held a deep fascination – these are the places where some lived their lives in their great homes experiencing love, loss, power and the myriad of emotions that humans feel no matter the time period.
Sarah lived in north Derbyshire for thirty years but now lives tucked away in a corner of South West Scotland. Pilgrims and Strangers is her first book.
