Rebecca Johnson

Rebecca Johnson is a London-based actress, writer, and creative facilitator whose work spans theatre, storytelling, and community engagement. A graduate of London South Bank University with a BA (Hons) in Drama and Performing Arts, Rebecca is passionate about creating work that entertains, challenges perspectives, and amplifies underrepresented voices.

Alongside her acting career, Rebecca is an accomplished writer. During lockdown, she co-created and performed in A Passage Through Time as part of The Cockpit Theatre’s In the Pound programme, demonstrating her ability to develop original work under challenging circumstances. She later went on to write and perform her own one-woman show, I Called This One Purple Rain, which was staged at the Etcetera Theatre in 2025.

Rebecca’s recent theatre credits include performing in WrestleLadWrestle by Jennie Jackson at the Barbican in 2025. Her work as a performer is driven by a commitment to authentic storytelling and creating meaningful connections with audiences.

Beyond the stage, Rebecca is the founder of ‘Refresh Kits C.I.C.’ , a community initiative launched in 2023 to tackle hygiene poverty and hygiene shaming among young people. Through partnerships with schools across London, including the Harris Federation, she has donated over 750 hygiene kits and delivered wellbeing workshops designed to support young people’s confidence and self-care. Her work has been recognised by London Live, Southwark News, and the Harris Federation.

Whether performing, writing, or facilitating creative projects, Rebecca is dedicated to using the arts as a catalyst for connection, empowerment, and positive social change.
