Ramya Julian
Ramya Julian is an author-illustrator and dentist. She is the creator of A Wonderful World, a picture book series celebrating real-life heroes from diverse backgrounds, including pioneers in STEM, activism, and human rights. Her books combine storytelling and vibrant illustrations with curriculum-linked resources, helping to promote literacy, inclusion, and curiosity in early years education.
Ramya’s work has been featured by BBC Radio, and in collaboration with UK universities and educational networks. She regularly delivers workshops, school visits, and festival talks that champion representation, social justice, and global citizenship. Born and raised in India, Ramya now lives in the UK with her husband and two young daughters, who inspire her to tell stories that help imagine a more inclusive world.
