Lawrence Lee Wallace is a Chicago filmmaker and author with more than fifteen years behind the camera as a director, writer, producer, and editor. Through his company, Deep Production Studios, he has built a body of work in horror and character-driven drama — among them the feature Tobias: Dark Hallway, the dark comedy Pieces of David, a Black Harvest Film Festival selection and Black Excellence Award nominee, and the animated horror feature To Your Last Death, on which he served as co-executive producer.The Smell of Blood is his first novel, and the opening book of the series. It is a werewolf story that is less interested in the monster than in the family holding the door shut. He served in the U.S. Army from 1990 to 1998, graduated as salutatorian from Full Sail University.
