Laura Sweet

Trained as an illustrator and designer with a BA (Hons), she has spent 35 years working in national and global organisations, from Xerox to The Met Office and the NHS in a variety of business-based roles. With this skill set she has now written and developed a community support programme for women living with hair loss and alopecia through Unrooted to Unbroken.

She founded the Unrooted to Unbroken to give women what she found hardest to come by, a guide, a structure and format to navigate the hard days and to help her understand what she didn’t know and somewhere to put the feelings down.

Laura Sweet is a creator, designer and writer based in Cornwall in the UK. She has lived with alopecia for over 35 years, 15 years with total hair loss. Her journey through the years has been emotional, heartbreaking and transformative.
