JA Kahn
If JA Kahn’s books are packed with mystery and mayhem, it’s probably because his life is too. As a husband, dad, writer, gardener, botanist, and serial DIY enthusiast, he has spent years collecting stories in the most unusual ways. For instance, he kept ant farms, built garden ponds that attracted everything except the wildlife he wanted, raised chickens and frogs, climbed more trees than most squirrels, and fought his fair share of conker battles — many of which he claims to have won. Now those adventures have found their way into his writing, which comprises clean spooky thrillers, supernatural mysteries, dark fantasies, and cosy animal adventures filled with humour, suspense, and the occasional peculiar character. JA Kahn lives near the New Forest in Hampshire with his family and two cats, one of whom has a habit of disappearing for months before strolling home looking suspiciously pleased with himself. He may yet become the star of a future story. And yes, that really is JA Kahn in the photo, writing by candlelight… or someone who bears a remarkably close resemblance.
